What is your approach to learning?
We believe children learn best through play, exploration, and positive relationships! Our approach blends play-based learning with intentional teaching based on the Early Years Learning Framework. We focus on nurturing your child’s natural curiosity, building their confidence and social skills, and preparing them for a smooth start to school. You can read more about our philosophy.
What age groups do you care for?
We welcome children from 6 weeks old right through to kindergarten age (5 years old). Our programs and learning environments are thoughtfully designed to suit the specific developmental needs of each age group, from our littlest infants to our curious kinder kids.
What qualifications do your educators have?
We’re proud of our passionate team! All our lead educators hold (or are actively working towards) relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education and Care, such as a Diploma or Certificate III. Our Kindergarten program is led by a Bachelor-qualified Early Childhood Teacher. Everyone on our team has current First Aid, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis training, plus valid Working with Children Checks.
How much are the fees?

How do I enroll my child or join the waitlist?
We’re excited you’re considering joining the Ilmo family! The first step is usually to Start Enrolment and join our waiting list. You can find all the details and forms on our Enrolment page. If a place isn’t immediately available for your preferred start date, we can add you to our waitlist and keep you updated.
How will you help my child settle in?
We understand starting childcare is a big step for both children and parents. We work closely with you to create a gentle and positive settling-in process tailored to your child’s needs. This usually involves orientation visits where you and your child can spend time in the classroom, get to know the educators, and become familiar with the environment before their first full day.
What do I need to pack for my child each day?
Just the essentials! Please pack a labelled bag with a full change of clothes (including socks and underwear), a labelled water bottle, a sun-safe hat (like a legionnaire or broad-brimmed hat), and any comfort items your child might need (like a dummy or special blanket). If your child has specific dietary needs or requires medication, please discuss this with us during enrollment.
